Shadow of my Mother

Within your soul, I can feel myself

As I feel the roses, you bear the pain of thorns

How you nurtured me when I was like an elf

And you fed me saying if I don’t eat, I’d grow horns

How magical it feels to be wrapped in your arms

After all, it’s you who appreciates my curves and scars

No one can replace you as my constant alarm

And how you taught me to reach for the stars

Oh! We’ve survived through millions of strife’s

Those nine months were surely beautiful in your tummy

You are a blessing to dad as a good wife

And for me, you are the best, Mummy
